A Simple How To Reach I00 Items For Sale On Etsy

(: Do-Re-Mi :)

“Bonjour toute le monde,” announced Madame Le Tron as she entered the screen door.

“Creak, Bang,” went the door. Madame Le Tron shook her well-quaffed head. “Not again with the door,” she sighed aloud. “Giselle, Ralph, Jack-Pot-Johnny? Is anybody home?”

Madame passed her office on the left where her computer sat dark and moved down the long hallway.

“Hello? Anybody here,” she called.  Oddly quiet for a workday afternoon she thought as she pushed open the studio door.

Le Tron’s studio was a sea of apathy.  Recyle-trons were all present but not a single one of them looked as if they were being the least bit productive.  Despondent would be the adjective Madame would choose if she had to describe the robot’s behavior.

At the far-end of the studio spinning around on her stool, as Graphing Eddie was spinning in-time on his robotic wheel, was Giselle Madame Le Tron’s teenage assistant, who usually has an opinion on just about everything.

These two appeared to be in some kind of trance. “Uh-hmmm,” Madame cleared her throat loudly.

“Oui Madame,” replied Giselle listlessly.

"The front screen door needs to be oiled again mon cherie,” ventured Madame Le Tron.

“Oui Madame,” answered Giselle between spins.

“Oui Madame,” echoed Graphing Eddie between spins of his own.

“Oui Madame,” responded the sea of apathetic recycle-trons.

“Oui Madame? Why, what in the world has gotten into all of you,” asked Madame Le Tron.

Silence, except for the whir of a wheel and the creak of a stool as Giselle and Eddie continued to spin slowly around and around.

Madame removed one long black glove from a well-manicured hand and placed her thumb and forefinger along side of her tongue.  She whistled loud and clear and demanded yet again, “Attention toute le monde! Just what is going on here?”

“BOING, WHIR, CHRUNCH, OUCH!” Chaos ensued as the entire room seemed to come alive at once. Recycle-trons came to attention. Giselle rubbed a freshly bruised knee and Graphing Eddie flashed a set of electronic words across his chest that read,

                                     “System Overload, Warning, Warning!”

“Now that I have your attention I will ask you once again, would somebody please tell me just what is going on,” queried an exasperated Madame Le Tron.

Giselle climbed down from her stool and limped over to Graphing Eddie. “Madame,” she said with a pained look wrinkling her pretty brow.  “ We have spent the entire morning wrestling item # 3 on our list of goals for 2013.”

She pressed the re-set button on Graphing Eddie’s upper chest and the robot blurted out,

100 items for sale! System Overload, Warning, Warning!”

Bells and whistles and sirens blaring, Giselle tried to shout over the din, “Madame we are all a bit overwhelmed!”

“Moi Aussi!” cried Madame Le Tron as she rushed over to Eddie and hit his re-set button once again.  “Please everyone, please sit down!”

Giselle returned to her stool as the room gave Madame their undivided attention. “I understand that the thought of creating 100 items for sale on our Etsy Site is a bit daunting to say the least, but if we start at the very beginning…”

“A very good place to start,” chimed in Jack-Pot-Johnny.

“When you read you begin with A-B-C, “ continued Madame Le Tron.

And then in unison all the recyle-trons joined in joyously, “When you sing you begin with DO-RE- MI!”

“Hold it right there,” shouted Giselle, now standing atop her stool. “ This is NOT the Sound Of Music!”

“Ahhhh,” sighed the robots in unison.

“And Madame, you are no Julie Andrews!” said Giselle all in a huff.

“Indeed mon cherie I am not, but I did get your attention! And, the song illustrates a very good point.  We must start with the basics.  A simple step-by-step road map if you will. Graphing Eddie if you will assist me s’il vous plait?”

As Madame dictated her plan Eddie got it all down.

A Simple How To Reach I00 Items For Sale On Etsy

1.                                       Review your BRAND
-       Can you create a thematic overview?  For example…
o   Seasons of the year, colors of the rainbow, holidays
2.                                       Review your PRODUCT LINE
-       Can you plug it into your theme?  For Example…
o   Are certain pieces already rainbow colors? With spring just around the corner, what colors do you have that would fit your theme already?  Can you add a few pieces in green for St. Patrick’s Day?
3.                                       Make a List entitled - What I Have… What I Need… For Example…
-       You have 3 baby blankets with a lot of green in them, perfect.
o   Can you make two more?  Can you come up with a holiday -like catch phrase?  “More precious than a pot of gold…”
4.                                      Photo, Post, Feature.  Now you’ve got it! Next try Easter, then Mother’s Day, Father’s day,
                      the 4th of July…
-       Brainstorm each list and continue throughout one full year!

You have created a simple outline to achieve your goal and all it took was to…

A small voice was heard from the back of the room singing,
“Start at the very beginning…” sang Giselle.

“A VERY GOOD PLACE TO START,”
Chimed in the recycle-trons!

A Simple How To Create an Etsy Treasury!

We’re Hunting Leprechauns…

“Now?” whined Giselle as she leaned back on the settee and pulled her ever-present beret down over her pretty face.

“Not yet,” stated Madame Le Tron.

“When then,” replied Giselle.

“I will be on this site for no more than another half hour Giselle,” said Madame. “Is it homework that you need to do?”

“No,” pouted Giselle getting to her feet and then immediately falling to the floor with a resounding, “Ouch!”

“Mon Cheri, are you all right,” cried Madame Le Tron rising from the computer screen to rush to her aid.

“Oui Madame, I tripped over this floor board.”  “Snap-Clap” went a trap! “OH NO RATS,” screeched Giselle as she jumped upon the settee from whence she came!

“Oh Mon Dieu, les rats,” shrieked Madame as she jumped upon the settee next to Giselle, the two holding one another tightly!

Giselle whispered to Madame holding a finger up to her lips, “Do you hear that Madame?”

“Qu’est-ce,” mouthed Madame Le Tron.

From a distance came the sound of a slot machine “Cha-Chinging,” with bells and whistles ringing and the whir of a recyle-ton’s wheel.

Giselle and Madame turned to one another and exclaimed, “It’s Jack-Pot-Johnny!”

No sooner had his name left their lips then Jack-Pot-Johnny, the robot, rolled into the room. He had a net on a stick in one wrenched hand and what looked to be a treasure map in the other.

Bending on jointed hips, he glared with his electric eye into the hole beneath the up- turned floorboard and pulled out an empty trap, which appeared to be bated with gold. Johnny sighed with a “PHOOEY!”

Madame regarded Giselle and said, “Did he just sigh and say, ‘PHOOEY’?”

“Qui Madame,” answered Giselle nodding her pretty blond head.

“Jack-Pot-Johnny explain yourself,” demanded Madame Le Tron.

The robot, quiet now and appearing a bit disheartened, thrust the paper in Madame’s direction. “C’est Vrai, it is a treasure map of sorts,” she said.

Giselle, looking over Madame’s shoulder and reading the words at the top of the map aloud, “Shhhhh, be very, very quiet I’m hunting LEPRECHAUNS!” Giselle began to giggle, “Really Jack?”

The robot blinked his lights twice.

“It will take the ‘Luck O’ the Irish’ to catch a Leprechaun, if it is anywhere near as hard as it is to make an Etsy Treasury about them,” proclaimed Madame Le Tron!

“Is that what you have been working on all morning Madame?” asked Giselle a slight smile upon her face.

“Oui, Mademoiselle,” sniffed Madame Letron as she pushed her dark glasses up on her narrow nose.

Giselle leaped from the settee and made for the computer, pushing her beret to the back of her head. With a click of the keys paper began to spew forth from the copier.

Jack-Pot-Johnny whirled on his wheel and pulled the paper from the machine.  No sooner has his electric eye scanned the page then he began to “Cha-Ching”!

Taking the paper from the robot, Madame read the title aloud, “Simple How To Build an Etsy Treasury  - by Giselle Montiner.”

“We are studying On-line Marketing and Sales in Economics. That’s my end-of-chapter homework and I’ve been trying all morning to get on the computer to find out what grade I got,” Giselle announced.

“A+,” beamed a proud Madame Le Tron as she waved the paper high!  “Merci Giselle! This will make my work so much easier!”

“We’re all in this together, right?  Now, let’s see if we can’t find a LEPRECHAUN Johnny,” a delighted Giselle rang out!

“Cha-Ching,” chimed Jack-Pot-Johnny as they exited the room.

“The ‘Luck O’ the Irish’ to you both,” mused Madame Le Tron as she returned to her computer screen.
